Glossary of terms

I though I'd do a quick, simple glossary of terms, just to help those who have little or no knowledge regarding oil seals and some of the confusing terms used. Hopefully this will help you find the exact oil seal for your application
R21/SC- This is a single lip nitrile rubber oil seal with a carbon steel Spring.
R23/TC- This is a double lip nitrile rubber oil seal with a carbon steel spring
VC-This is a single lip nitrile rubber oil seal without a spring
KC-This is a double lip nitrile rubber oil seal without a spring
HMSA10RG-This is a double lip nitrile rubber oil seal with a carbon steel spring
HMSA10V-This is a double lip viton rubber oil seal
with a stainless steel spring
